Spelling

We will have no spelling test this week because we will only be in school three days. This would be a great opportunity to review past spelling words with your child. As you practice, please do not always give the words in the same order. I seldom use the same order on a spelling test.

Report Card

I have received most of the report cards back. If you still have yours at home, please return it to school by Wednesday. You will be able to keep it at the end of the year.

Fall Break

Fall Break is Thursday and Friday of this week. I hope you will all have a safe and enjoyable break. Try to do something fun with the family!

Say No to Drugs

Tuesday is Say No to Drugs Day. We will be reading and learning safe ways to stay away from drugs. Allow your child to share what he has learned at school with the family at home. Also, allow your child to wear something red to school on Tuesday.

Grandparent Day

Wednesday is Grandparent Day at Billings School. If the Grandparent would like to have lunch at school, please come about 11:45 to eat with the first grade. There will be a special program in the gym at 1:00.
