Spelling

The spelling words are taken from our story this week. These words will also come home today on flash cards so you may practice having your child recognize as well as spell the words. Remember to mix the words up when you ask your child to spell them.

Report Cards

Friday was the end of the six weeks grading period. Report cards will be sent home this Thursday. Please share the card with the family, then sign it and return it to school as soon as possible. Thanks!

It's Cold Outside!

Some students still are not dressed warm enough to go outside at recess. Please make sure your child wears a heavy coat to school. They will go outside as often as possible.

Addition and Subtraction

We will finish a chapter this Tuesday on addition and will begin a new chapter on subtraction Wednesday. The children are allowed to use their fingers, a number line or objects to add and subtract. Also we play games with flash cards to help with memorization of math facts.

It would be most helpful if you would find time to allow your child to show you what we are doing in math!

Reading

We still have a couple of students that have not returned the reading sheets for October. The rest of the class is working hard to earn the free pizza party from Pizza Hut. We need 100% of the students reading to earn the party. Please help us.
