PERSONAL INJURY WRECK

           TWO WERE INJURED IN A ONE VEHICLE CRASH ON BARACHEL LANE AT THE

INTERSECTION OF COUNTY ROAD 120 EAST, ONE HALF MILE EAST OF GREENSBURG

MONDAY NIGHT AROUND 11:00.  ACCORDING TO INFORMATION FROM INDIANA STATE

POLICE,  30-YEAR OLD DONNA STONE OF METAMORA WAS TRANSPORTED TO

DECATUR COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL WHERE SHE WAS TREATED FOR BRUISING

TO THE RIGHT KNEE AND RIGHT ARM.  SHE WAS LATER RELEASED.   27-YEAR 

OLD LISA MOORE OF CLARKSBURG WAS A PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE BEING

DRIVEN BY STONE.  MOORE WAS ADMITTED TO DECATUR COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL,

SUFFERING FROM A FRACTURED HIP AND BRUISING TO THE HEAD.  POLICE SAY

SHE IS IN FAIR CONDITION.

           STONE'S VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING EASTBOUND  ON BARACHEL LANE 

APPROACHING A 90 DEGREE CURVE AT THE INTERSECTION OF  COUNTY ROAD 120 EAST.

REPORTS INDICATE THAT  THE DRIVER REACHED DOWN TO PICK SOMETHING UP AND

THE VEHICLE THEN TRAVELLED OFF OF THE EAST SIDE OF THE ROADWAY STRIKING

A UTILITY POLE.  

            TROOPER PETE TRESSLER OF INDIANA STATE POLICE INVESTIGATED

WITH ASSISTANCE FROM THE GREENSBURG POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE

DECATUR COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.
